Stan Kroenke -- the billionaire behind the St. Louis Rams, the Denver Nuggets and Arsenal football (the English kind) -- says one of his employees stole a gun from him, tried to kill himself, and now he needs protection from the guy.Kroenke obtained a temporary restraining order against Mark Waldo, his former property manager. According to the docs, Waldo took the weapon from Kroenke's mansion in the hills above Malibu last weekend ... and when police responded he made a failed attempt to shoot himself in the head.
Kroenke says police immediately placed Waldo -- a 6'2" 300 lb. man -- on a 5150 psychiatric hold.
The TRO requires Waldo to move out of the Kroenke home -- and to stay 100 yards away from Kroenke and his wife, Anne. By the way, she happens to be a Wal-mart heir.
A hearing on whether to extend the protection order is scheduled for December 14.
